Jacklin Adams

2008 AISES Technical Excellence Award

Jacklin Adams is a member of the Wyandot tribe of Kansas. She is currently the Senior Technical Staff Member and Senior Engineer leading the Center of Excellence for Environmental Compliance within IBM's Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) World-wide Engineering organization. She received her B.S. in Plastics Engineering with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Massachusetts. As a member of the ISC, Jackie co-developed a process for identifying and developing recycled resins for the manufacture of business machines. She also developed manufacturing and tool design concepts that enabled greater pre and post consumer recycled resin usage in the industry. Beyond this, Jacklin is active in mentoring and recruiting for IBM's Native American new hires.

Capt. Jeffrey Trussler

2008 AISES Executive Excellence Award

Captain Trussler is the Deputy Director Submarine Officer Distribution for the United States Navy. He plans and coordinates Navy Personnel Command's training and presentation to fleet units, leadership training pipelines, and deploying battle groups and amphibious ready groups in support of Chief of Naval Operations emphasis upon career development. In his assignments, CDR Trussler has completed 4 Western Pacific Deployments and 11 Strategic Deterrent Patrols. He received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Oklahoma State University and his M.A. in Managerial Economics from the University of Oklahoma. Captain Trussler is from the Cherokee Nation and married to the former Kirsten Rae Taylor.

Nancy Jackson

Nancy is presently Deputy Director of International Security Programs at Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM, where she is also a member of Sandia's American Indian Outreach Committee. She has been active in AISES  and American Chemical Society programs to increase underrepresented minority participation in science and academia, and National Academies boards that address issues regarding minorities in science. In Albuquerque, Nancy works on a program that helps homeless families regain their strength and independence.

Johnson Diversity Service Award, 2000; University of Michigan Regents' Award for Distinguished Public Service, 1999.
