- How funders are coping with economic challenges: March 2010 update to May 2009 report now available September 19, 2010

The Health Research Alliance (HRA) fosters collaboration among not-for-profit, non-governmental funders to support the continuum of health research and training from biomedical science to applications that advance health. HRA members, which include private foundations and public charities, collectively support over $1.5 billion in research and training per year.
HRA fosters collaboration and communication:
Internally, among member organizations, to share data and best practices, informed by current information on the landscape of the health research enterprise; and
Externally, by encouraging communication and collaboration among grantmakers and the broader health research and policymaking communities.
Membership is open to not-for-profit, non-governmental funders of health research and training. More information can be found at http://www.healthra.org/membership.become.html.
